The house of the culture in Sofia

When the concept of The Frame Art Gallery first took shape, the vision was simple and focused: to create a dedicated, high-quality space exclusively for photography. A place where photographers—from emerging talents to established professionals—could work, experiment, and showcase their images with the atmosphere and equipment their craft deserves. The initial dream was a studio, a gallery, and a creative refuge built entirely around the art of capturing light.

But ideas, much like creativity itself, tend to grow.

As the project developed, it became clear that photography was only the beginning. Through conversations with local artists, designers, writers, and cultural enthusiasts, the founders realized that Sofia was missing something far greater—a single, unified space where all forms of creativity could intersect. The city had photographers, illustrators, authors, filmmakers, and performers, but they existed in disconnected pockets, rarely crossing paths.

So the vision expanded.

The Frame Art Gallery evolved from a photography studio into a multi-functional cultural hub, a place capable of hosting exhibitions, workshops, live readings, design sessions, and artistic collaborations of every kind. Photography remained at its core, but the walls widened—figuratively and literally—to welcome painting, digital arts, graphic design, literature, fashion, and even small-scale performances.

Today, The Frame Art Gallery stands as a 360-degree expression of culture. It is not just a workspace but a meeting point for creators and audiences, a catalyst for new ideas, and a home for artistic exploration. What began as a focused project transformed into a vibrant ecosystem where different disciplines inspire each other, connect naturally, and evolve together.

The Frame Art Gallery is proof that when creativity expands, spaces must expand with it—and when they do, something extraordinary can emerge.
